Overview

Set in 500 acres of spectacular South Downs countryside, Lancing College is a co-educational school with a strong reputation for academic, sporting and musical excellence. It is a boarding school with day pupils. The school buildings are an inspiration and the magnificent Chapel provides a strong focus for the life of the College and the values it promotes.

Facilities are excellent and complement a well-qualified and dedicated teaching staff. Public exam results have been consistently strong and for the last four years the average percentage of A-B grades at A Level has been over 85%. Almost all leavers proceed to further education, many to top universities. Progress is monitored closely and reporting to parents is regular and thorough. Pastoral care is second-to-none, led by a team of experienced Housemasters and Housemistresses. The overall quality rating of the last Ofsted boarding inspection was ‘outstanding’. All pupils are strongly encouraged to make the most of the wide variety of opportunities Lancing provides for sporting and cultural enrichment. The school's incomparable, rural setting is easily accessible by road and rail and transport links are good.

Entry Requirements

All overseas students (for 13+ or 16+ entry) are tested in Maths and English and should supply a school report or reference. Tests can be taken at an agency but a visit to the school is preferred. Our IELTS requirement level is 6 for 16+ entry.
