Scholarships at Edge Hill University

In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, Edge Hill University is offering five scholarships to students in (Ghana, India, Kenya, Turkey, Vietnam) applying for postgraduate courses.

The GREAT Scholarships 2025 programme, launched by the British Council together with 72 UK universities, supports postgraduate students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, Greece, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam to access world-class UK higher education opportunities.

The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at the 72 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

This scholarship provides a full tuition fee waiver of up to £17,000, and successful candidates will receive an updated offer letter reflecting this award. Please note that this scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarships, so recipients will not be eligible for additional scholarship funding.

This is for September 2025 intake only and scholarships cannot be deferred.

Applications close at 11:59 pm (BST) on Friday 31 May 2025.

Eligibility

Candidates must:

• be passport holders of Ghana, India, Kenya, Turkey or Vietnam.

• be a self-funded student.

• have made an application to study a full-time postgraduate degree at Edge Hill University for September 2025 intake.

• hold an offer for a full-time postgraduate degree at Edge Hill University for September 2025 intake by closing date of 31st May 2025.

• not be in receipt of any other scholarship, including external scholarships such as Chevening, etc.

NOTE: Applications received after the deadline date and applications with no study offer by this deadline WILL NOT be considered for this scholarship. We strongly advise to submit an application to Edge Hill University no later than April 2025 so there is no delay with your student journey should you be successful in your scholarship application.
