Scholarships at Newcastle University

Overview

Newcastle University is pleased to offer 30 Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships (VCES) for outstanding international applicants who apply to commence full-time Master’s studies on an eligible programme.

Award Summary

• Up to 50% or 100% of tuition fees.

Application Closing Date

• 27th February 2025.

• 29th May 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the up to 50% scholarships applicants must:

-be domiciled in of one of the following countries/regions:

• Canada, USA

• China

• Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea

• Colombia, Peru 

• Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Turkey

• Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka

• Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam  

be assessed as international for fee purposes

hold an offer for an eligible Master’s degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2025/26 academic year

already have or expect to receive the equivalent of an upper second class UK honours degree or above

Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application.
